Kai Zimmermann, Ph.d. spent the past 15 years developing the business logic of telco companies. Trained as linguist and psychologist he has been working as a consultant for various businesses with very large customer bases and rich customer profiles – environments suitable for creating advanced rule systems for marketing and CRM that are both individualized and fine-tuned to increase customer value.
Initially he worked on data mining and machine learning methods but has now shifted his focus to how analytics is integrated into the operational reality of an organization, where scientific optimization must compete with politics, time and resource constraints as well as deeply ingrained decision making habits.
His scope as a consultant is covering the generation of business logic from end to end: formulating the business need and justifying investment; designing the rules as well as the sales workflows in which they are embedded; creating specifications; ensuring implementation quality; measuring success and learning from experience; building an industrial development workflow around all this.
He is Managing Director of Hamburg-based concision GmbH and lives in Ahrensburg on the outskirts of Hamburg.
